A Chicago man's story: "The Echo From Dealey Plaza"

Excerpts:

"Some of the claims he makes in what is a fascinating though sometimes-plodding personal account of an almost-forgotten piece of Chicago history seem almost impossible to believe until a check of newspaper clippings turns up buttressing information."

"For instance, when the jury at his trial before U.S. District Judge Joseph Sam Perry was deadlocked in favor of conviction by an 11-1 vote, Bolden recalls, Perry addressed the jurors and told them he believed there was sufficient evidence to return a guilty verdict. Newspaper articles from the trial show Perry did just that—an astonishing bit of jurisprudence that the single juror nonetheless ignored, leading to a mistrial."

"This is not a case that can be solved with the ultimate truth prover, DNA, but virtually all the significant evidence against Bolden came from the mouths of convicted criminals who, it appears, were out to save their own skin."
